12 JUNE 2025 By Cliff Summerhill The idea behind The Dreamer began simply: with a pencil, paper, and a sleepless night. After Arcadia dad Joshua Bronfman and his family of four found themselves wide awake in the middle of the night due to a broken and unfixable sound machine for their newborn, he knew there had to be something better. “Nobody would get any sleep until the sound machine was fixed,” Bronfman said. “Easier said than done because it took a bunch of batteries and the world’s smallest screwdriver to fix it.” Bronfman’s family has just moved into a new rental and had no idea where the tools, let alone batteries, might be. “We started looking for a replacement, but to our surprise, there wasn’t anything better on the market,” Bronfman said. After some research and countless designs, Bronfman and business partner Nik Wogen decided to take matters into their own hands and created The Dreamer, a new sleep machine that benefits babies and, well, anyone who utilizes a machine to help them sleep through the night. Bronfman and his wife Danielle are the parents of two-year-old Henry and eight- month-old Charlotte. They’ve lived in Arizona for 25 years and called Arcadia home for the last 15 of them. “We love it here and can’t imagine raising our family anywhere else,” Bronfman said. Wogen, an engineer and professional photographer and cinematographer has two children with his wife, Olivia: 11-year-old Zeke and seven-year-old Zoe. The daddy duo wanted to ensure they adapted the right technology for hands-free usage and safety. The outside of the machine is made from food-grade, BPA-free silicone, so it’s soft and safe for teething toddlers, durable, and easy to clean. The product is also equipped with a magnetic strap and can be attached to strollers, car seats, cribs, or diaper bags. “We wanted something reliable and incorporated modern technology to suit our needs better as parents,” Bronfman shared. “We wanted something that parents could take on the go, whether you’re on a road trip or navigating a grocery store meltdown.” The Dreamer features curated dreamscapes that incorporate healing frequencies, which have been shown to help lower heart rates and promote deeper sleep. Wogen also incorporated natural frequencies based on scientific research. Parents can control The Dreamer from their phones via a mobile app that allows users to adjust volume, switch sounds, set timers, and receive firmware updates to improve performance. According to Bronfman, several doctors and psychologists have endorsed the machine, and some hospitals have approached him to use the product in hospital rooms. “We’re grateful for the response,” Bronfman said. “The Dreamer is the first product we have made, the first idea that we felt passionate about, and we can’t wait to develop more products to help parents and kids.” sleepwithdreamer.com Catch some zzzs thanks to these dream-building dads Charlotte, Danielle, Henry and Josh Bronfman.
