MARCH 2024 6   The eighth annual Arcadia Cares: Food for Kidz Packathon is back and scheduled for March 1 (late afternoon) and March 2 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 3641 N. 56th St., Phoenix. This annual tradition encourages kids around the Valley to host lemonade stands to raise awareness of PANDA and funds for the Steele Children’s Research Center. Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation will sponsor the event by donating supplies, and Danzeisen Dairy will donate the lemonade. There is a Men’s, Women’s and Coed league for all levels playing at either Rose Mofford Field, Dwest West Field, and Papago Field. All players must be 18 and older. Rosters should have at least 20 players who will play 14 regular season games, with a single elimination tournament to end the season.
