This Valley-wide event offers various dining options for every palate – and from May 19-28, diners can get outside the neighborhood and try something Arcadia Little League held its Opening Night celebration in March to great fanfare! At the annual event, ALL recognized an “extraordinary” volunteer to receive the Bill Straus Award, and this year, the recipient was Jennifer Steen. Special guests included Baxter, Justin Martinez and Jose Perdomo from the Diamondbacks. Channel 3 newscaster Mark McClune emceed the event while the National Color Guard presented the flags. Camelback Road) will close its doors after 46 years. TUESDAY 5/2 An Evening with Dr. Zahi 6 p.m. at the Phoenix Convention Center, 100 N. 3rd St. Dr. Zahi Hawass, the world’s most celebrated archaeologist and former Minister of State for Antiquities in Egypt, brings the mysteries of the pharaohs on his first-ever lecture tour. Dr. Hawass will share closely guarded secrets and present his groundbreaking discoveries and the latest research. A Q&A and book signing will follow the lecture. One of the longest- running musicals in Broadway history takes the stage in Phoenix this month. A Chorus Line follows 17 would-be dancers in their quest to make the chorus, or ensemble, for a new Broadway show. By the end of the show, only eight dancers remain.
