Pool parties, barbeques and festivities will be going on all day, so we compiled a list of the best places to get together and celebrate our independence.  TEMPE TOWN LAKE FESTIVAL 4 – 11 p.m. at Tempe Town Lake, Tempe. Celebrate the fourth on the water at Tempe Town Lake, Starting at 4 p.m., there will be live music and entertainment, a kids zone complete with inflatable rides and bounce houses and a rock climbing wall, vendor village, beer garden, and food trucks. Stick around for the color guard and the National Anthem and end the night with a fireworks extravaganza over the lake. Tickets are $5-8. More info: tempe4th.com.  FABULOUS PHOENIX FOURTH 6 – 10 p.m. at Steele Indian School Park, 300 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix. Featuring one of the largest firework displays in the southwest, Fabulous Phoenix Fourth is not to miss! This year’s event will include two stages with local entertainment, a vendor village, food and beverage court, arts and crafts, exhibits, a classic car display, a kids zone, and of course fireworks! This event is free. More info: phoenix.gov.  FREEDOM FEST Times vary, at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, 7575 East Princess Drive, Scottsdale. The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess keeps the celebration going with three days of patriotic fun. Starting July 2, there are three concerts, including a Michael Jackson tribute on the fourth, plus a vintage air show, movie showings, presentation of colors, and three nights of fireworks! These activities are free to resort guests, but if you’re not staying there, all you have to do is eat in one of the resort’s restaurants to receive a wristband for access to the festivities. For more: scottsdaleprincess.com.  FOURTH AT THE FOUNTAIN 6 – 10 p.m. at Fountain Park, 12925 N. Saguaro Blvd., Fountain Hills. Fountain Hills Park will be all about Independence Day with live music, games and prizes. Food vendors will also be on hand serving up those all-American treats we know and love.
