MONDAY 7/10 Beginning Pottery Class 1 – 4 p.m. at Shemer Art Center, 5005 E. Camelback Rd., Phoenix. Looking for something for your teen to do over the summer? Why not have them learn a new skill? The Shemer Art Center is offering a 4-session beginning pottery class (until July 31). Students will learn to work with clay, ceramic and a pottery wheel. This class is taught by Alan Jones. Chill out and let your wild side free at the Winter in July event at the Phoenix Zoo! There will be 35 tons of snow with snow targets, squirt gun targets, snow piles, live music and games. Attendees will also have the chance to see the endangered species carousel, ride the safari train, and watch the animals enjoy ice cold treats.
