This means a slew of local festivals are heading to parks, stadiums and blocks around the Valley. Music, food, art and family-fun centric festivals give everyone something to get excited about this fall. Here’s a guide to what’s happening around town. Mad Decent Block Party Rawhide Sept. 12 maddecent.com Dance music record label Mad Decent (owned by Diplo) brings its international  & &        time. Performances include Dillon Francis, Big Gigantic, Diplo and more. This is an 18 and up event. General admission tickets are $50, VIP are $75. Bus passes are available that transport attendees from ASU to the party for $20. The show starts at 6 p.m. Fall Arizona Restaurant Week Sept. 19-28 Locations vary arizonarestaurantweek.com Fall restaurant week is back! Enjoy special dinner menus at Phoenix’s culinary hot spots. Dinner prices vary between restaurants. Check restaurant week’s website for participating restaurants, dinner menus and prices. Summer Ends Music Festival Sept. 26-28 Tempe Town Lake summerendsmusicfestival.info An eclectic mix of musicians and entertainers including: Lindsey Stirling, Taking Back Sunday, Foster the People, Capital Cities and many more take over Tempe Town Lake for an end-of-summer celebration. Single day tickets are $65; a three-day pass is $150. The show starts around 4:30 p.m. on Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Oktoberfests Galore! Pumpkin and Chili Party Oct. 2-Nov. 2 Schnepf Farms schnepffarms.com Sunset Magazine has recognized this month-long party as the best fall family event in the Valley. Schnepf Farms, located in Queen Creek, is a day trip worth taking, and turns all of your country-in-the-fall day dreams to reality with hay rides, carnival rides, a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, corn mazes, pig races and much more. The event takes place every Thursday through Sunday until November, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays and Sundays, and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturdays. See website for prices. Rides, concerts, food and other attractions highlight this month long celebration. This year’s concert performers include Sublime with Rome, Wiz Khalifa and many more. Concert prices vary. Kids under 5 years old get in free. Adults are $10; kids (ages 5-13) and seniors (over age 55) get in for $5. Arizona Taco Festival Oct.18 and 19 Salt River Fields aztacofestival.com The Valley’s annual gathering of tequila and tacos is back! Enjoy music, tastes of food from local valley eateries, a tequila expo, contests, free goodies, music and entertainment. Tickets vary from $12-$100. Balloon Spooktacular Oct. 24 and 25 Salt River Fields srfballoonfestivals.com This Valley favorite returns for its fourth year and offers a haunted house, family fun. General admission is $10. Children are $5 (ages 3-12) and children under 2 years old are free. Haunted house entry is $8, hot air balloon rides for adults are $25, and children 10 years old and under ride for $15. This celebration starts with a Grand Tasting at Quiessence on Friday, followed by the wine festival on Saturday. Tickets to the Grand Tasting are $75; tickets to the festival are $65. The 46th Annual Tempe Festival of the Arts Dec. 5-7 Mill Avenue District tempefestivalofthearts.com This popular semiannual festival showcases art and food from artisans from all over the country, although most are from Arizona and other parts of the West and Southwest.
