Milagro Grill Milagro Grill at 44th and Indian School was set to open just as we were going to press. Milagro is owned by the Johnson family, well- known in Arcadia with Brynn, Reed, Jaret and Ryan “Bubba” Johnson being alumni of Hopi, Ingleside and Arcadia. The family legacy goes way back in the restaurant industry, as they are the grandchildren of Woody Johnson, founder of Macayo’s Mexican Restaurants, which the family has owned and operated for the past 50 plus years. Now, they have broken away from Macayo’s and the four, plus their mother, Nana, have gone into business together by opening Milagro Grill in the space formerly occupied by Joey’s of Chicago. The Johnson family has a couple different bene fi ts scheduled for their opening week. Giving back to the community is one of the things their grandfather did so well, so it’s great to see that family trait carry on as well.
