The Arcadia News Health & Wellness Guide is the perfect way to promote your practice or business to the affluent, educated and health-minded readers of the Arcadia News . NOVEMBER 2026 DEADLINE: THURSDAY 10/15 A Directory of local providers By Braya McCormick As we begin to adjust back to the structure and course load of school, it can be a little overwhelming trying to manage it all. From homework and readings to large group projects, it all adds up, and with the many distractions that plague our society, it can be hard to focus. My favorite remedy for such stress is finding the perfect place to study. Here are some places with a wide array of characteristics that will hopefully meet your needs. #1- The Civic Center Library The Civic Center Library is a 10-minute drive from Arcadia High School and offers numerous resources. Not only is it free, it also provides a teen room with closed-off spaces and whiteboards that are great when the main section of the library. It is the perfect, quiet place to study, and you are surrounded by resources to help you if you need it! #2- Black Cat Coffee House Black Cat is definitely a favorite amongst Arcadia students, with it being just across the street. It is very convenient for after school study sessions, especially for students who can’t drive yet. It provides a perfectly noisy atmosphere, though seating can be limited. With tasty treats and delicious drinks, the Black Cat Coffee House is a great option for studying. #3- Starbucks Starbucks is somewhat a controversial working in groups as well as study rooms you can reserve online. There is also plenty of seating around place to study, but for those who thrive in a livelier atmosphere, it can be enjoyable. They are very accessible – the odds of you having a Starbucks near your house are fairly high, making it a dependable place to go. They also provide consistently good food and drinks, which can be used as an incentive for studying. My personal favorite is on 28th Street and Indian School, providing a closed off room (great for group meetings) as well as various people watching opportunities. As the school year ramps up, it is important that we stay on top of our work, and the perfect study spot is a great way to motivate ourselves to do just that!
