VOL. 2 NO. 11 SEPTEMBER 2025 From the students of Arcadia High School I ’m Eliana Ganz, and I am excited to be one of the new editors for the Titan Times this year. I’m a junior at Arcadia High and I grew up in the neighborhood, going from Hopi to Ingleside to now Arcadia. If you’re from Arcadia, too, you know how tight-knit the community is. I’m excited to bring that energy into our paper and make sure everyone feels involved and represented. Outside of school, I’m all about soccer. I’ve been playing club for 14 years and am also on the varsity team at AHS. If I’m not in class, you’ll probably find me on the field. Soccer has taught me a lot about teamwork and dedication, and I hope to bring that same collaborative effort to the Titan Times. I want this paper to be a space where everyone can contribute, share ideas, and be heard. I love to travel and spend time with my family. Traveling satisfies my curiosity for new places and experiences, and time with family reminds me to appreciate the connections I have. Both are such important parts of my life and have shaped the way I see the world. My goal with the Titan Times this year is simple. I want this paper to be more than just stories from a high school. I want it to be something that connects everyone in the neighborhood – whether you’re a student, a teacher, or someone who’s been here for years. We have so many great stories to tell, and I believe everyone deserves a voice in what’s happening around us. – Eliana Ganz WHAT’S THE PLAN? By the time you read this, we year, you will have met the new vice president and my good friend, Eliana Ganz, and the Titan Times will have grown from one junior student to a staff of eight writers and two photographers from every grade - freshman to senior. Now that we have all these wonderful people, what’s the plan? GREAT QUESTION! We’ve selected a small group of student- writers from each grade to write about the things on campus and in the community that are important to them. Our goal is that each month three students will have a short piece published in the paper. Having a small group of writers ensures that each student gets to be featured at least twice this school year. Our column is only about 750 words long, but as we all know, “a picture is worth a thousand words,” so we’ll of course need some photos to tell our stories. This is where our photographers come in. Depending on the topic, they will get the chance to go out and take original, relevant photos used to enhance our writing. My ultimate goal is to share my love of journalism with as many people as I can, whether that be through reading, writing, or photographing.
