20 APRIL 2023 EASTER BRUNCH If you’re hoping to stay out of the kitchen for Easter this year and prefer someone else do the cooking, here are some local resorts and Valley area eateries offering holiday specials. Arizona Biltmore arizonabiltmore.com The Biltmore (2400 E. Missouri Ave., Phoenix) will host Easter Brunch in the Gold Room from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Guests can enjoy a salad station, raw bar, breakfast dishes, cuts from the butcher’s block, entrees like spinach ricotta ravioli and jumbo seared scallops and an Alice in Wonderland dessert table. Live violin music and lawn games like corn hole and ladder ball will be available in-between bites. Prices are $195 for adults and $85 for kids 5-12. Reservations are encouraged. Hearth ‘61 mountainshadows.com Mountain Shadows (5445 E. Lincoln Dr., Paradise Valley) will offer brunch – starting at 10 a.m. – or dinner at Hearth ’61! Menu items include family-style antipasti, entrées like the crab benedict, braised green chili pork hash, basil mascarpone tortellini and pan-seared sea bass with smoked tomato beurre blanc – plus, a family-style dessert medley. Brunch starts at $95 per adult, $35 for children 12 and under, and free for children six and under. The restaurant also offers a seasonal dinner menu from 5-9:30 p.m. Reservations encouraged. The chef-attended Easter buffet will be in the Sands Room from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be a seafood bar, salad station, omelets, chef carving station, entrées like soy honey glazed salmon and seared airline chicken, and desserts like Dulce de leche strawberry panna cotta. The buffet starts at $72 per person ($27 for children 12 and under). Brunch at ZuZu will feature specials from 6 a.m.-2:30 p.m. There will be a raw bar, Easter brunch board, fried chicken benny, and more. Cook’s brunch will feature starters like quiche-pancetta and bourbon glazed pork belly and entrees including braised short rib and pan-toasted salmon. The Ballroom Buffet will serve up traditional breakfast options; a charcuterie and cheese spread; soup, salad + pasta bar; a seafood + sushi display, carved meats station and a variety of sweet treats. The braised short rib hash ($24) is made with an organic fried egg, pickled red onions, breakfast potatoes and charred scallion chimichurri. Both dishes can be accompanied by bottomless mimosas. The eatery is offering a three-course prix fixe menu for brunch and dinner on Sunday, April 9, for $45 per person. Menu features include mini crab cakes, traditional eggs benedict, steak and eggs, half-roasted chicken, and more. Shea Blvd., Scottsdale) has put together a four- course Brunch Prix Fixe menu for two for Easter. Each couple will receive Asian-spiced deviled eggs, followed by an appetizer, brunch entrees and dessert. Appetizers include breakfast sliders, black orchid tuna or chicken lettuce wraps. Entrees include Char Siu pork benedict, Louie’s hangover fried rice, Not Boring burrito and more. Dessert options are Ling’s honey toast or flourless chocolate cake. The meal is $50 per couple. Entrees include lobster toast with avocado pea puree, pea shoots and sunny side egg or the short rib surf and turf with lobster, gouda potato cake, poached egg and hollandaise. Central Ave. and Camelback Road) is hosting the second annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8 at 11 a.m. Families can enjoy photos with the Easter Bunny along with games and an egg decorating station to get in the Easter spirit. The public is welcome to hunt 400 pre-filled Easter Eggs with a limited number of Golden Eggs stuffed with fun prizes from Lou Malnati’s, Huss Brewing Co., Sweatshop on Camelback and Shake Shack.
