22 SEPTEMBER 2022 A aron Driscoll describes himself as a “legacy builder.” And sure enough, his actions and efforts bear this out. The 41-year-old husband and father of three children is all about tradition, heritage and family. “As a parent, it’s your obligation to raise good, well-rounded kids,” Driscoll said. He is a senior financial advisor with Goldbook Financial, providing counsel and financial planning strategies for businesses and families. It is a role that he was groomed for from a very young age. “I grew up in the Law & Order and Matlock era and toyed with the idea of becoming an attorney, so I majored in political science,” Aaron said. “Deep down, I knew that my father and grandfather’s insurance agency was ultimately where I would end up. After all, impacting the lives of my clients is extraordinarily rewarding.” His hunch was correct. After graduating from Brophy and even before graduating from college, Aaron worked for his family’s firm, selling insurance products. “What we provide, everyone needs, and at the end of the day, we help people,” Driscoll said. He met his wife, Heather, during his first year at the University of Arizona, and they have three children: Eli, Harper and Will. As a teenager, he grew up in Arcadia and hopes his family’s generational ties will stick. “Heather and I love Arcadia because it’s such a wonderful place to raise our kids. Honestly, the neighborhood helped me persuade my wife to move to Arizona after college because she asked for two things: grass and trees.” When asked about the best advice he has ever received, Driscoll said, “Success comes from the ability to change and keep in motion. Therefore, be open-minded, curious and always willing to learn.” Driscoll practices what he preaches because he decided to leave his family firm last year to join GoldBook and offer what he calls “superior services” to his current and future clients. When Driscoll isn’t working, he coaches youth sports. “Arcadia Little League is the best time of the year. I love coaching. Baseball is a passion, and my family are big Giants fans unless they are playing the Diamondbacks, then we root for the home team,” he said, placing blame for the out-of-town loyalties on his wife. Heather grew up in the Bay Area, and they regularly travel to her hometown to visit wine country and the beach and to see family. “Arcadia is my favorite neighborhood in Arizona. The people who call it home go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, and the art of neighboring still exists here. It has a small-town feel, and I feel lucky every day to wake up, have my coffee, and look at Camelback Mountain,” he said. When asked about his single biggest achievement in life, he doesn’t hesitate: “Marrying my college sweetheart and becoming a dad three times over.” Chuckling, he admits, “I guess that is four things.” And wonderful things they are.
