Saguaro Blvd. Fountain Hills Theater announced the return of Broadway’s Say Goodnight, Gracie, back by popular demand. This production focuses on George, in limbo between this world and the next, unable to join his wife Gracie until he gives the Command Performance of his lifetime for a higher power. Palo Verde Road. Runners, get ready for the 8th Annual Buckeye Marathon, Half, 10K, 5K, and 1-mile fun run. This downhill, fast course (marathoners will drop over 530 feet in elevation from start to finish) route starts in Sun City Festival, to the White Tank Mountains and ends at the runway of the Buckeye Municipal Airport. Guests can also check out pet adoptions, sustainable food sampling, hands-on activities, and 40+ vendors helping make a difference to animals around the world. This event is free. azboardwalk.com Buses by the Bridge Car Show 10 a.m. at the Lake Havasu State Park, 171 London Bridge Road. We’re going back in time at the Buses by the Bridge Car Show. Spectators are invited to come out and see over 500 vintage Volkswagens and participate in all the activities along with it. There will be live entertainment, a kids zone, bounce houses, a corn hole tournament, air balloon rides and a chili cook-off. Arizona Ave. From birth to death and beyond, this biographic play features one of history’s most well- known leaders, Winston Churchill, from his 18th-century upbringing through his careers as a soldier, journalist, politician and statesman. SUNDAY 1/16 Carefree Fine Art and Wine Festival 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at 101 Easy St. in downtown Carefree. Take the day, relax and stroll through more than 155 juried fine arts displays. Artists from the U.S. and abroad will be on- site showcasing their paintings, sculptures and photography while guests sip domestic and imported wines. SUNDAY 1/23 Casa Grande Street Fair 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in historic downtown Casa Grande, 110 W. 2 nd St. Guests can enjoy a bevy of activities at this year’s show. There will be crafters, food vendors/trucks, live entertainment, a car and bike show, beer garden, kids zone and corn hole tournaments. The car and bike show will take place on Saturday, and the corn hole tournament is open to the public on Saturday, with a league tournament on Sunday. This event is free. cgmainstreet.com SATURDAY 1/29 Bookfest 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Black Canyon Heritage Park, 33955 S. Old Black Canyon Hwy. This festival combines two events into one. Bookfest guests will get a chance to buy some new reads and meet authors, booksellers, illustrators, and other experts of Arizona history. The Old Cañon School Museum will also be open for tours. Food will be available for purchase, plus arts and crafts, vendors, a virtual silent auction and a raffle. This event is free. blackcanyonheritagepark.org BrewHaHa 2-6 p.m. at the High Country Conference Center, 201 W. Butler Ave., Flagstaff. This one is a bit of a trek, but it will be worth it for all the brews. Guests can enjoy over 50 local, regional and western breweries with more than 100 beers to try. There will also be live entertainment, food tents and vendors, plus a ceremony for the Snowman’s Choice Award. Better make this an overnight trip! Tickets are $45 for general admission. flagstaffbrewhaha.com FRIDAY 1/28 ! SUNDAY 1/30 Arizona Balloon Classic Times vary, at the Goodyear Ballpark, 1933 S. Ballpark Way. Eyes to the sky as the 11 th annual Arizona Balloon Classic kicks off with various events. On Friday, guests can enjoy balloons glowing in time to music. Saturday and Sunday will showcase the Hare and Hound races, a family fun zone (including bounce houses and stunt shows), festival food and drinks and live entertainment.
