Become one with nature with outdoor activities such as guided bird tours, canoeing on the river, archery and fishing at the Tres Rios Nature Festival. This event showcases the history and culture of the Gila River drainage, which is made up of the Gila, Salt and Agua Fria rivers. There will also be live music and a beer garden for the grownups. Mountain bike enthusiasts rejoice – the Mountain Bike Festival is back. There will be over 45 pet-related vendors, pet blessings, adoptions, free dog yoga classes, an interactive fun zone, K-9 training demonstrations, pet food sampling and treats for humans and their four- legged best friends. 47 MARCH 2020 FRI. 3/13  SUN. 3/15 Ostrich Festival 11 a.m.-12 a.m. on Friday, 10 a.m.-12 a.m. on Saturday, 10 a.m.-11 p.m. on Sunday, at Tumbleweed Park, 2250 S. McQueen Road, Chandler. The 32nd annual Ostrich Festival is back with national and local musical acts, a reptile show, pig, dog and ostrich races, a science show, petting zoo, storybook time, carnival rides and food trucks. Break out your cowboy boots and head to Queen Creek for the Roots N’ Boots Rodeo and carnival. Along with rides and games, there will be mutton busting, a vendor market, pony rides, petting zoo, live entertainment, performances, rodeo show and a dance on Saturday to cap off the day’s activities. Before you indulge in St. Patty’s Day festivities, head to Westgate for the annual Kiss Me I’m Irish Run. Dress in green and run the half marathon, 4K or 8K. There will also be a Kilt Run on March 13 for those who want to start their weekend off supporting a good cause – proceeds will go to a cancer charity.
