THURSDAY 9/19 Rum Society 6:30-8 p.m. at The Canal Club at The Scott, 4925 N. Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale. Cocktail aficionados, gather around for a tale of one of the greats: rum. Guests are invited to hear all about the ins and outs of the spirit that fueled a revolution. SATURDAY 9/21 Donut and Ice Cream Festival 12-4 p.m. at The Pressroom, 441 W. Madison St., Phoenix. This is the first annual Donut and Ice Cream Festival and it will feature over 15 Valley businesses and their treats. Grab a snack and enjoy card, lawn and board games plus a marketplace with local artists. The Pressroom will also have drinks and cocktails available for purchase. Admission is $8. Presented by PetSmart, the Wine, Women and Shoes event is back for its third year. This event benefits the Fresh Start Women’s Foundation, which provides women with education, resources and support to “transform their lives.” There will be marketplace shops, wine tastings, an auction, “Best Shoe” contest and a fashion show. Immerse Urban Arts Market 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at 5644 S. 16th St., Phoenix. Come out and support local artists and creators at the Urban Arts Market. Artisans will be on-site showcasing and selling their art. Attendees can browse the marketplace while listening to live music and entertainment. There will also be a variety of food trucks as well.
