If you’re in the market for gems and jewels, head up to Prescott for a weekend filled with both. There will be more than 60 vendors with jewelry, beads and tools for sale. SATURDAY 8/3 Woof Down Lunch 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Prescott Courthouse Plaza, 120 S. Cortez, Prescott. Here’s one way to escape the heat of the Valley: head up north to have a picnic with your four- legged best friend. This fundraiser features a vendor village, live music, demonstrations by obedience and dog trick trainers, contests, kids activities and a raffle. Celebrating the ASU pre-season football week, Payson Parks and Rec presents the 3rd annual Food Truck Festival. The owners of OBH have been picking their way through vintage markets across the country and are ready to share their treasures. The Welcome Home Market Vineyards, 13922 S. Kuykendall Cutoff Road, Pearce. Settled in the Chiricahua Mountain Foothills, LDV’s vineyards are a sight to behold. The Wine Country BBQ is an opportunity for guests to check out the vineyard, enjoy drinks and lunch and take advantage of the photo ops. There will also be games and winemaker tours. 41 AUGUST 2019 41st annual Dave McKay Memorial Run 7:30 at Wheeler Park, 211 W. Aspen Ave., Flagstaff. Part of Flagstaff’s Summer Run Series, the Dave McKay (founder of Big Brothers & Big Sisters) Memorial Run will benefit the Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Flagstaff. This challenging run is 13 miles of city streets, dirt roads and mountain trails. Participants can choose the half-marathon and 5K as well, which can be for runners or walkers. There is also a fun run available. Registration is $35-$80. For more: halfmarathons.net. FRIDAY 8/16 Mirage – Visions of Fleetwood Mac 7 p.m. at the Prescott Elks Theatre, 117 E. Gurley St., Prescott. If you weren’t able to see Fleetwood Mac when they were here last November, head to the Elks Theatre to see Mirage, a Los Angeles- based Fleetwood cover band that focuses on their greatest hits.
