Presented by AJ’s Fine Foods, the Art of Wine and Taste of Summer event will showcase 40 wines, selected by cellar masters, who will also be on-site. The Agave Heritage Festival teaches attendees the importance of the agave plant and its uses in our food and drinks. Throughout the week, guests can enjoy various events, such as a lecture on the origins of Mezcal, a chocolate pairing seminar, MEZcrawl, agave garden tours, a Cinco de Mayo concert and the agave heritage brunch. THURSDAY 5/2  SUNDAY 5/5 Spring Fling Birding Expedition Times vary, starting at the Cochise College Library, 901 Colombo Ave., Sierra Vista. Whether you’re looking for a new hobby or birding has been your passion for a while, you won’t want to miss the Spring Fling. Presented by Southwest Wings, the Spring Fling will take birders from Sierra Vista to the Chiricahua Mountains to the Santa Cruz Valley and everywhere in between so you can find that bird you’ve been searching for. The 32nd annual Route 66 Fun Run spans 140 miles on the historic roadway. Hundreds of vehicles of all ages will participate in this event. On Saturday, the parade of vehicles will leave Seligman and head to Kingman, then to the Grand Canyon Caverns, Valle Vista – all with first wave starting at 7:30 a.m. Runners in the 8.6-mile race must complete the course in 3.5 hours.
