Proceeds of each pint sold will go toward maintenance and upkeep of the Arizona Fallen Firefighter Memorial that’s located in Wesley Bolin Plaza just across from the state capitol building. The IPA was created through a collaboration between firefighters and Huss Brewing to celebrate and honor Arizona firefighters. You can find it at all The Vig locations. CARDIO CLUB Former Arcadia News writer Andrea Barkley is opening a fitness studio in May of this year. The Cardio Club will be located on 68th St. and Thomas Road and will focus on cardio workouts rather than weight training. The 45-minute classes will include cardio rehab, dance fitness, “cardiyoga” and cardio glutes/legs. “What makes us different is there is no emphasis on transformations. In a release, the company told members they are relocating, but there’s no word yet on a new location. SWAN LAKE IS CALLING Located at Kachina Village Shopping Center at Indian School Road and 32nd St. is a place all children who dream of becoming ballerinas. The Tutu School, which opened in late 2018, focuses on teaching kids 18 months to 8 years old the history, culture and the fluid movement of ballet. MEAT THE BALL Culinary master Stefano Fabbri of Pomo Pizzeria and Mora Italian unveiled his most recent venture, Meat the Ball, in mid-March. FOOD TRUCK ROUNDUP Shemer Art Center has started offering a food truck roundup once a month. On April 17, three to five food trucks will park at the center and offer dinner options such as Chef Wade’s Mac-n-Cheese, The Chicken Coop Az, Eur Haus and Leo’s Ice Cream. Take a night off from the kitchen and head to Shemer. The next roundup will be on May 15 and won’t return until September, so make sure you check it out. FITNESS FOR THE CURE Registration is open for the 9th annual Fitness for the Cure event supporting Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen). The event, formerly known as Cycle for the Cure, will be held at The Village Sports Clubs on Camelback Road, as well as the other Arizona locations.
