The 17th annual Taste of Tubac is here and ready to tantalize some taste buds with local chefs on hand preparing their best dishes, plus fine wines and live classic rock and country music to top off the night. Tickets are $60. For more: tubacaz.com. SATURDAY 4/13 Chili Cook Off and Salsa Challenge 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Kief-Joshua Vineyards, 370 Elgin Road, Elgin. Two foods come together for a weekend of delicious fun. Kief-Joshua Vineyards will host the Chili and Salsa Challenge, where cooks from the Southwest compete to see who’s best. Guests will also be able to taste local wine from four vineyards in the area. Grab a glass of vino and a bowl of chili and settle in. Tickets are $10 and $15 for wine tasting. Take a break from the city and head to Show Low for a weekend family campout. This program aims to provide camping techniques and necessities for the whole family, such as cooking outside, hiking, archery, fishing, astronomy and more. Attendance is $90 for a family of four. Get ready for an afternoon of New Orleans culture with regional food dishes such as crawfish and jambalaya, eating competitions, brass ensembles, live music, a kids zone and more. SATURDAY 4/27 “Play is Learning” Kids Fair 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Lake Havasu City Aquatic Center, 100 Park Ave., Lake Havasu City. We’re celebrating the littlest humans in the family. Each child will receive a “play passport” and guide themselves through the fair with games, music, activities and creations. FRIDAY 4/26  SUNDAY 4/28 Whiskey Off Road Bike Race Times vary, at Whiskey Row on Montezuma St., Prescott. Kicking off at Whiskey Row and heading into the national forest, this epic bike ride is no joke. Riders can choose how many miles to go (15 “proof” to 50 “proof”) through sometimes smooth, sometimes rocky terrain.
