SAT. 2/16  SUN. 2/17 Street Eats Food Truck Festival 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Salt River Fields, 7555 N. Pima Road, Scottsdale. Throw on your stretchy pants because it’s time to eat. There will be more than 50 food trucks on-site providing samples – at just $2. Live music, lawn games, eating contests, a vendor marketplace, kids zone, cooking classes and demos will keep the day going. Tickets are $12 for general admission with VIP packages available. The inaugural Tequila Fest will take place in Mesa and will showcase more than 50 brands of tequila. There will also be raffles, beer and taco specials, a margarita bar and live entertainment, plus food trucks and attendees also get a souvenir t-shirt to commemorate the event. Tickets are $50. If you couldn’t get enough from the AZ Vegetarian Festival earlier this month, don’t worry – the Phoenix Vegan Festival is here to help. This 4th annual event will feature more than 100 vegan-friendly vendors, food trucks, demos and presentations by chefs and vegan experts, a kids zone, and live art demonstrations. Stetson Dr., Scottsdale. This isn’t your average Italian Festival. Come out and experience everything Italy with traditional cuisine, live music and entertainment, a wine garden and vendor village. This is the 6th annual event presented by the Italian Association of Arizona, and not something you want to miss – think of the pasta. Tickets are $10 for general admission. The 5th annual DogFest is back again with all things four-legged. There will be music and entertainment, games, activities, speakers and demos, a kids zone, kissing booth with therapy miniature horse, Prince Charming, free hot dogs and a doggie parade. The Southern Arizona Food and Wine Festival is here with more than 65 wineries, breweries, distilleries and chefs on site showcasing their very best in food and drinks. There will also be cooking demos, wine connoisseur meet-and-greets, producer presentations, and you can walk through the botanical garden, all while enjoying bites and sips. Tickets are $79. Gather around and be regaled by the Cowboy Poetry and Music Gathering. This year’s theme is “Around the Campfire,” and features 24 musical acts from around the country. There are two headlining performances as well as a barn dance on Saturday night, so make sure to wear your dancing shoes. Valentine St., Wickenburg. Step back in time to the Wild West Days. Starting on Friday, there will be three days of activities celebrating the Gold Rush days of yore. There will be a rodeo, a “Rides for the Brand” parade at 10 a.m. on Saturday, classic car show, carnival rides, gold panning, old fashioned melodrama performances, juried art show, live entertainment and arts and Winterfest 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Main St., downtown Lake Havasu. Celebrate our winter visitors with the 34th annual Winterfest. This event is two days of nonstop live entertainment, as well as more than 200 vendors at 400 booths from across the United States. THURSDAY 2/14 Chocolate Lover’s Festival 1 p.m. at the Verde Canyon Railroad, 300 N. Broadway, Clarkdale. Looking for something a little different to do with your love this Valentine’s Day? Treat him or her to a train ride, one that has something not normally on a train – chocolate fountains. Pastries and fruit, pretzels and marshmallows are ready to be dipped into the fountains while the view of the Verde Canyon lingers just outside the windows of the train.
