Riverview Dr., Phoenix. Take in Phoenix and all of its beauty at the Rio Salado Trail Run. There will be a 5K and 10K along the Salt River banks, perfect for running or walking and enjoying the scenery. Pets are welcome. Petroglyph Hike 10 a.m. at South Mountain, Telegraph Pass Trail, Phoenix. Check out some of the oldest art in Arizona on the petroglyph hike with Pueblo Grande Museum. This hour-long hike will take participants up South Mountain which is rife with stunning petroglyph drawings. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes; this hike is a mile-long with varying terrain. Take a stroll through Heritage Square and glimpse a different time. Heritage Square takes us back to the city’s Victorian past on the original keynote speakers, a vendor village and a kids zone. More than 100 floats, bands and individual riders are part of this parade, which finishes at Brown Ave. and Indian School Road.
