40 JANUARY 2019 BUSINESS BRIEFS LUXURY FITNESS FACILITY COMING TO BILTMORE Retail property development company Macerich announced it will build an 80,000 square-foot Life Time Fitness Resort in the Biltmore Fashion Park, set to open in 2019. The resort will offer a full-service salon and spa, hair and nail services; LifeCafe, a full-service restaurant and bar, a rooftop pool, plus a kids’ program, group fitness studios, yoga studios, cycle studio, Pilates studio and a basketball court. The new facility is being constructed on the east surface parking lot. MANE ATTRACTION CELEBRATES 20TH ANNIVERSARY Kendall and Beate Ong are celebrating their 20th anniversary as owners of the Mane Attraction Salon, which has been in the Biltmore area for more than 40 years. They’ve also hosted the Beauty to the RESCUE fundraiser for 18 years, which helps the Phoenix-based non-profit organization in its efforts to end pet euthanasia in Maricopa County. Mane Attraction is located on the northwest corner of Camelback Road and 32nd Street in the Biltmore Plaza shopping center. INGLESIDE ANNIVERSARY PARTY Ingleside Animal Hospital will be celebrating its 10-year anniversary in their “new” building. The hospital, which has been in business since 1958, is welcoming the public to come out and celebrate with the staff at their open house on February 9 from 2 to 5 p.m. They will have games and activities, a “kiss the pooch” booth, prizes, food trucks and tours of the facility. In addition to veterinary care, Ingleside offers boarding and obedience classes. Ingleside Animal Hospital is located at 4855 E. Thomas Road. VELOCITY STYLEBAR COMING SOON Locally owned and operated Velocity stylebar is coming to the Arcadia Commons plaza in late January. Services offered include blowouts, shampooing, scalp massage and braiding. Pricing ranges from $25 to $45 with membership packages available. Services are also available for kids. “We are very excited and have our hearts and passion into

The grand opening celebration will offer giveaways and drawings for a free membership. MOJAVE COFFEE Located at the southwest corner of 48th and Thomas Road, Mojave Coffee doubles as a record store and gift shop. Along with espresso, cappuccinos and lattes, Mojave sells vinyl records, CDs, books, record players and speaker set- ups. The shop opened in December 2018 and is a part of Revolver Records. ARCADIA ALLERGY & ASTHMA Doctors Jain and Hill, Arizona natives and Arcadia residents, have opened the second location of Allergy and Asthma at 4840 E. Indian School Road. The location will also boast a food allergy center, a severe asthma clinic and an eczema clinic. A new Panera Bread drive-thru will be finished soon, going in the old Jack in the Box spot on the south side of Camelback Road, just west of 44th Street. Panera also recently opened a location in the Camelback Colonnade, at 1949 E. Camelback Road. HASH KITCHEN The long-awaited breakfast/bar establishment will reportedly be open in February 2019. This is the fourth location for the hip and modern eatery, and will be located in the Arcadia Gateway center at 44th Street and Indian School Road.
