McDowell Road, Phoenix. Driving around and looking at Christmas light displays is one of the traditions of the season, and the Lights of the World display is not one you want to miss. There will be over 10 million lights on 65 different displays, each with a different theme. There are also carnival rides, acrobat WED. 1/2  FRI. 1/4 Winter Break Camp 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Children’s Museum of Phoenix, 215 N. 7th St., Phoenix. Have you run out of entertainment for the kids on the last few days of winter break? Never fear, winter camp is here. The Children’s Museum has three days chock full of New Year’s activities, games, arts and crafts and play time set up for kids ages 5 - 8. One day for non-members is $65; for three days, it’s $170. The Land of the Dinosaurs is getting a makeover this holiday season with the Jurassic Winter Wonderland. This “dino” mite winter showcase will feature thousands of twinkle lights, real snow, caroling classes, snowman building, and you can even meet Dino “Santa Claws” and his friend Rudolph “The Red Nose” Raptor. SUNDAY 1/6 Night of the Three Kings 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Phoenix Zoo, 455 N. Galvin Pkwy., Phoenix. Christmas has passed, but that’s no reason not to continue the celebration. Night of the Three Kings is a Latin holiday celebrating the night that the three kings followed the star to Bethlehem. To commemorate this event, attendees will follow luminarias to Neely Center and watch as the three kings arrive on camels. FRI. 1/11  SUN. 1/13 Maricopa Home and Garden Show 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the Arizona State Fairgrounds, 1826 W. McDowell Road, Phoenix. Light up the night and start your year off right at Glendale’s Glitter and Glow block party. There will be hot air balloons, 1.6 million twinkle lights, live music, food, rides, drinks, and fun for 16 blocks of downtown Glendale. It’s time to celebrate diversity with the 25th annual MLK Celebration Dinner. This year’s featured speaker is Carmen Perez, a criminal justice expert who has advocated for civil rights, including mass incarceration, women’s rights and gender equity.
