To our loyal customers, vendors and friends: Dyer Electric was started in 1946 in our backyard by our parents W.E. and Modena Dyer at 2710 W Polk St. They literally started with nothing and built the company from the ground up. Their motto was “no job too small.” My sister, Pam, brother, Phil and myself all worked as kids at the shop as well as the grandkids; Ryan, Cristi and Shawn (Phil’s), and Thomas and Will (Vic’s). Our family is very blessed to have had a mom and dad who taught us what a good work ethic is. Over the years Dyer Electric has been a great opportunity for my brother Phil and myself. We both made our careers at Dyer Electric and were very fortunate. We are a union shop out of Local 640 that has been very good to Dyer Electric over the years. I had the privilege of going through the electrical apprenticeship in the early 1980’s. My brother, Phil was President of NECA for many years. On June 11, 2018 my brother, Phil passed away. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and the electrical industry. My dad told me I would know when it’s time to hang it up. Sadly, that time has arrived. As of December 2018, Dyer Electric will be closing, but our loyal office manager, Dona Dolezal will be continuing under the Dyer Electric name and phone number. Please give her your full support. I know she will do a great job of carrying on the Dyer Electric legacy. Dona as well as our superintendent, Marty Wood have been with Dyer Electric for 25 years. Marty will be retiring in December as well. Thank you both from the Dyer Family. In closing, I would like to thank all of our customers for their support over the years, as well as current and former employees. You are the reason we served the valley for 72 years. Our family takes pride in the reputation we have built and Dyer Electric being the oldest license in the valley. Thank you, Vic Dyer and the entire Dyer family
