FRIDAY 11/2 Phoenix Rising Dance Festival 7 p.m. at the Polly Rosenbaum Building, 552 N. 40th St., Phoenix. Toss off your shoes and belly dance the night away at the Phoenix Rising Dance Festival. There will be dance performances, workshops, a masquerade ball after party, and a vendor village filled with all your belly dancing needs. General admission is $5, classes are extra. For more: phxrisingdancefest.com. SATURDAY 11/3 Dia de los Muertos Festival 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the Desert Botanical Garden, 1201 N. Galvin Pkwy., Phoenix. Celebrate the Day of the Dead at the garden. There will be music, dancing and storytelling in a celebration of Dia de los Muertos, plus arts and crafts, face painting, and a vendor village with jewelry and other wares. The day will end with La Procesion, a march through the garden to “burn away troubles.” Tickets are $25 for adults and $13 for kids. For more: dbg.org. Touch a Truck 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Aviano Park, 3975 E. Lockwood Dr., Phoenix. Come on out to the Touch a Truck event for an opportunity to explore a variety of off holiday shopping with more than 40 artists specially selected from all across Arizona. There will be artists demonstration, and interactive opportunities to create your own piece of art. This will combined with the annual G.A.I.N. (Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods) event.
