49 JULY 2018 Local First Arizona is a nonprofit organization that supports and promotes local businesses while raising public awareness of the economic and cultural benefits provided by strong local economies. Over 3,000 locally-owned businesses of all industries and sizes are represented by Local First Arizona’s business coalition. And they’re gearing up for the biggest week of their year: Independence Week. From June 30 to July 8, hundreds of businesses involved with Local First Arizona will be participating in the annual ‘shop local’ campaign. Both shoppers and businesses owners can benefit during the week-long celebration. If you’ve got a local business, make sure to participate. All it takes is registration and a 20% deal on a service, item or purchase. Once that’s done, Local First Arizona will send graphics, social media post ideas, and other tips for attracting new customers. If you’re a shopper, pick up or download a golden coupon, which will save you 20% at participating businesses. Make sure to check and see which of your local businesses are a part of Independence Week.
