18 MAY 2018 SATURDAY 5/19 Train Day 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Flagstaff Visitor Center, 1 Historic Route 66, Flagstaff. Hop on the caboose and get ready to learn all about trains! There will be live music, railroad and train displays, a kids depot, local artists and vendors, tours and raffles. The event starts off with a cake cutting celebration by Mayor Coral Evans, and make sure to sign up for the kiddie caboose train ride! This is a free event. For more: flagstaffarizona.org. Mariachi Festival 7 a.m. at the Patagonia Lake State Park, 400 Patagonia Lake Road, Nogales. It’s a little bit after Cinco de Mayo, but you can celebrate mariachi whenever you want! This event will showcase a variety of Arizona’s Mariachi bands. There will also be authentic Mexican dishes available as well as seven different wineries and breweries on tap. Head out of the city and enjoy the beauty of Patagonia Park! Entry is $20 per vehicle. For more: azstateparks.com. SAT. 5/19 – SUN. 5/20 Wine Country Spring Festival 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Historic Railroad Park, 157 N. Railroad Ave., Willcox. Vino lovers unite! The Willcox Wine Country Spring Festival is here! This event features 15 Arizona wineries, as well as 45 local artists and vendors, live music and entertainment. Enjoy wine tastings from your favorite local wineries. Tickets are evening of live entertainment, an auction, and samples of some of Northern Arizona’s best restaurants. Tickets are $100 per person. For more: nahealthfoundation.org. SATURDAY 5/26 Pine-Strawberry Arts & Crafts Festival 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Pine Community Center, 3886 N. Highway 87, Pine. This Memorial weekend, take a drive to Pine-Strawberry for the 38th annual Arts and Crafts Festival. There will be over 75 arts and crafts booths featuring glass, jewelry, pottery and more. There will also be a pancake breakfast, raffles, and a kids zone. This event is free. For more: pinestrawberryartscrafts.com. Sips and Skies 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Park, 3105 E. Fry Blvd., Sierra Vista. The name says it all! Sample some of Arizona’s best wines, craft beers and micro distilled spirits while savoring the beauty of Sierra Vista. Guests will also enjoy live music and food available for purchase. Tickets are $15 and include a souvenir wine glass. For more: sierravistaaz.gov. $15-$50. This is a 21+ event. For more: willcoxwinecountry.org. SUNDAY 5/20 Copper Ball 4 – 7 p.m. at the Seven Canyons Golf Club, 625 Golf Club Way, Sedona. The beautiful mountains of Sedona serve as the backdrop for the 16th annual Copper Ball benefitting the Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona. Guests will enjoy an Sips and Skies at the Veterans Memorial Park in Sierra Vista.
