Roars and Pours is a 21 and over event that boasts craft brews, wine and snacks, all while walking the trails at the Phoenix Zoo. If you consider yourself a taco connoisseur, you better get yourself to the Rockin’ Taco Rumble. Fifteen taco makers from around the Valley will be on site ready to tickle your taste buds with all the cheesy, meaty goodness. SATURDAY 3/3 Broadway Ball 6 p.m. at the Arizona Broadway Theatre, 7701 W. Paradise Lane, Peoria. Spend the night like you’re dining on Broadway. The Broadway Ball is an annual fundraiser benefitting the educational programs at the theatre. Get your belly ready for three days of chili goodness. Folks from across the country will be showcasing their chili skills in four categories, and you can vote for your favorite. Earll Dr., Phoenix. Break out your artistic side at Marjon Ceramics. This class is a hands-on workshop presented by Sandra Luehrsen, whose works have been displayed at the Shemer Art Center and other places. The Sunnyslope Historical Museum presents Jim Veihdeffer, a local blogger whose passion is community and the waterways. Jim will be speaking about the Arizona Canal Demonstration Project and how the architecture brings out the environmental characteristics of the Sunnyslope area. Celebrate the Hawaiian culture in your own backyard. The Aloha Festival at Tempe Town Lake will feature all things Hawaiian, Tahitian, Samoan, as well as other South Pacific cultures.
