But with the weather turning beautiful, not everyone wants to be cooped up inside on cool fall evenings. Here are some places in the Valley offering outdoor or unique movie viewing experiences! THE BILTMORE FASHION PARK You can enjoy a movie outside at The Biltmore Fashion Park. Located at 2502 East Camelback Road, this movie event is close to the Arcadia community. This November, you can enjoy a wide variety of family-friendly movies on Friday nights at 7:00 pm. On November 3rd, you can see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and on November 10th, you can enjoy Ghostbusters . CITY LIGHTS City Lights is also hosting a movie in the park event at Patriot’s Park in CityScape Phoenix. On December 8th, from 6:00-9:30pm, you and your family can get into the holiday spirit with a classic Christmas movie double feature. Bring your blankets and chairs for a night of free fun watching Home Alone and Elf . WEST GLENDALE 9 DRIVE-IN Another great place to enjoy movies outside the theater is the drive-in theater. West Wind Glendale 9 Drive-In is Arizona’s only drive-in. It’s located at 5650 North 55th Avenue in Glendale, and it plays double features 365 nights a year. The prices are great, and West Wind has 9 different screens. This means that the drive-in can show up to 18 different movies in a given night. Hours differ based on the day, but you can visit their Facebook page, West Wind Drive-In and Public Market, for more information. PHOENIX ART MUSEUM If you’re looking for movies a little less mainstream, and still indoors, the Phoenix Art Museum hosts independent films and documentaries relating to art throughout the year. On November 5th, they are presenting The Tibetan Book of the Dead Movies are free for members and are included in general admission. On November 11th and 12th, you can catch Waste Land which focuses on a group of catadores (garbage pickers) outside of Rio de Janeiro. SCOTTSDALE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL Finally, if one movie isn’t enough for you, November brings the Scottsdale International Film Festival to the Valley. Located at the Harkins Shea 14 Theater on 7354 E. Shea Blvd., Scottsdale, the annual five-day destination event begins on November 2nd. During its 16-year history, the Festival has showcased over 500 films, from indie gems to award-winning classics. Single tickets are available at the Harkins Shea 14 Theater box office.
