Show Low Main Street Farmer’s Market – where local producers and artisans come to meet. Take a drive up north and pick up some local produce, browse through different arts and crafts and listen to live music. For more: showlowmainstreet.org. Climb to Conquer Cancer 7 a.m. at Arizona Snowbowl, 9300 N. Snowbowl Road, Flagstaff. This walk is a non-competitive event to help raise awareness of cancer risk and to honor cancer survivors. The walk is seven miles up the paved road to Arizona Snowbowl. This is a rain or shine event. Registration is $40 for adults and $15 for kids. For more: community.acsevents.org. SATURDAY 8/26 Night Wings 5 – 9 p.m. at the Pima Air and Space Museum, 6000 E. Valencia Road, Tucson. Explore the museum at night! The Pima Air and Space Museum is one of the world’s largest aerospace museums. Attendees can enjoy tram rides, a tour of the indoor hangars, and hands-on games and activities for the kids. Tickets are $10 for adults, kids 12 and under are free. For more: pimaair.org. Gaspin’ in the Aspen Summer Run 8 a.m. at the Arizona Nordic Village, 16848 US 180, Flagstaff. It’s too hot to run down in the Valley, so head up to Flagstaff for the Gaspin’ in the Aspen Summer Run. This is a 15k and 5k chip- timed race through the Ponderosa and Aspen forest. The track is uphill and downhill and is also the finale of the Flagstaff Summer Running series. There is also a kids’ fun run available. Registration is $60 and benefits the preservation of the Aspen groves. For more: runsignup.com. Thunder over Flagstaff 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Pulliam Airport, 6200 S. Pulliam Drive, Flagstaff. Okay, it’s not actual thunder – it’s airplanes! The Thunder over Flagstaff event features homebuilt, warbirds and antique airplanes, a car show, vendor market, an antique tractor display, pancake breakfast and a kids zone! You can fly in an airplane or a helicopter! Tickets are $5 per person. For more: eaachapter865.org. Sedona Bike and Brew 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Sedona Golf Resort, 35 Ridge Trail Drive, Sedona. Grab your bikes and head to Sedona for a ride you’ve only dreamed of. Participants will race or ride over a 6-mile track of golf course holes and 80 acres of fairways. There are separate divisions based on age. Breakfast is available before the ride and after, craft breweries will be on hand to serve up some brew. Registration prices vary.
