Marshall Way, Scottsdale. It’s history and comedy rolled into one! Marshall Trimble, Arizona’s official State Historian will be sharing his experiences growing up in Arizona and all the fun of growing up in a “small town.” Including all the rage of small town happenings and insights into life in general, Trimble will be sure to have you smiling from ear to ear and remembering how great it is to live in the Grand Canyon state. FRIDAY 4/14  SATURDAY 4/15 Phoenix Amazing Pet Expo 3 – 8 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday at WestWorld, 16601 N. Pima Rd., Scottsdale. Celebrate all things furry and four-legged. There will be tons of exhibits and rescues on site as well as live demos of obedience training, pet sports, and plenty of education for pet care and activism! Once you’re done learning about all things animal, you can watch the talent and costume contests, shop for awesome pet products and take a stroll around the adoption area! This event is free for all ages, including your family’s furry friend. For more: phoenixpetexpo.com. SATURDAY 4/15 Family Easter Celebration 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Snedigar Sports Complex, 4500 S. Basha Road, Chandler. Celebrate Easter the fun-filled way, with an Easter Egg Scramble. The Snedigar Complex will be hosting and Easter Fun Day complete with Easter egg hunts, vendor booths, Easter displays, coloring contests, kids activities, live music, and of course, pictures with the Easter Bunny. FRIDAY 4/21  SATURDAY 4/22 Front Porch Pickins’ Marketplace 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Tumbleweed Park, 745 E. Germann Rd., Chandler. If shopping is your game, the Front Porch Market is where you need to be! Shop everything from mid-century to farmhouse, from industrial to urban boho and everything in between. Once you’re finished shopping, head over to the Vintage and Classic Car Show to scope out the vendor marketplace, listen to the DJ, grab a bite from the food truck court and check out some awesome vintage wheels. Tickets to each event are $6. For more: frontporchpickins.com. SATURDAY 4/22 13th Annual Pat’s Run 7 a.m. at Sun Devil Stadium, 500 E. Veterans Way, Tempe. It’s time to celebrate and support our military veterans with the 13th annual Pat’s Run, part of the Pat Tillman Foundation. There will be a 5-mile run and a kid’s run/walk. After the run, there will be a post-race party inside Sun Devil Stadium complete with drinks and music. There will also be medals for everyone that finishes the 4.2-mile race. Registration is $40-50. Take a walk on the wild side for your next happy hour adventure. Guests 21 and older can stroll through select zoo exhibits while sipping on a craft beer or glass of wine.
