This festival is dedicated to tech-minded folks who want to learn about HAM radio and emergency preparedness skills. The sky will be an array of colors as professional pyrotechnics light off fireworks all evening, with the biggest show happening at 7:30 p.m. There will also be a beer garden and rodeo grounds open to the public. Copa Color Run at Copper Sky Regional Park, Maricopa. Copa Color Run 9 a.m. at Copper Sky Regional Park, 44345 M.L.K. Jr. Blvd., Maricopa. Sure, you could run a 5K on any old trail… but what if you ran a 5K through a rainbow of color? The Copa Color Run, where athletes are covered head to toe in colored powder throughout the race/walk, promises to be an event you’ll never forget. The race starts at 11 a.m. and runners can choose either the 5K or the 1 mile walk. After the race there will be food trucks and a beer garden on site. Nothing says fun like a classic car show mixed with delicious food and fantastic music, and this is exactly what the Cruise, Blues and BBQ Festival promises to deliver. More than 20 different classes of auto awards will be given out. While you stroll around and listen to live music, grab a bite to eat at the BBQ pit. Whether you go for the rodeo, for the carnival, or for the bratwurst, there’s something for everyone at the 53rd Annual Lost Dutchman Days. On Saturday, there’s a parade, an arts and crafts fair, and a rodeo royalty pageant. There’s a rodeo dance and a bratwurst party. Live music keeps the spirit of the Lost Dutchman alive!
