The sky will be an array of colors as professional pyrotechnics light off fireworks all evening, with the biggest show happening at 7:30 p.m. There will also be a beer garden and rodeo grounds open to the public. Copa Color Run at Copper Sky Regional Park, Maricopa. Copa Color Run 9 a.m. at Copper Sky Regional Park, 44345 M.L.K. Jr. Blvd., Maricopa. Sure, you could run a 5K on any old trail… but what if you ran a 5K through a rainbow of color? The Copa Color Run, where athletes are covered head to toe in colored powder throughout the race/walk, promises to be an event you’ll never forget. The race starts at 11 a.m. and runners can choose either the 5K or the 1 mile walk. After the race there will be food trucks and a beer garden on site. On Saturday, there’s a parade, an arts and crafts fair, and a rodeo royalty pageant. There’s a rodeo dance and a bratwurst party. Live music keeps the spirit of the Lost Dutchman alive!
