Taking advantage of the roots of the building, Sip installed garage-style glass doors that face Indian School Road to give it the same open feel as the Scottsdale location. The design inside the space will include some modern elements, but it will still boast the same eclectic attitude that’s partially responsible for the Scottsdale location’s appeal. As of now, there are no talks of expanding Sip further, according to Cardineau. “We always talk about going into Gilbert or Tempe,” he said. “But right now, we want to focus on making these two locations the best they can be, and then we will see where we go.” Like the Scottsdale location, Sip Coffee & Beer Garage will offer live music several nights a week, Sunday morning yoga, and other events. SIP COFFEE & BEER GARAGE 3620 E. Indian School Road sipcoffeeandbeerhouse.com. By Kelly Potts The new Sip Coffee & Beer Garage is taking over a former Avis Lubrication shop in the Arcadia area. The location will feature a drive-thru for coffee and a limited menu. There also will be 24 beers on tap, wine by the bottle and glass and a bigger cocktail selection than the original location. Unlike the Scottsdale location, this Sip contains a full-size kitchen that has the ability to produce a bigger menu. A spinoff of Sip Coffee & Beer House in downtown Scottsdale, it’s all about bringing people together to hang out with good friends, or to meet new people all while sipping great coffee and craft brews. “Our goal was to bring the small-town feel to downtown Scottsdale,” said Alex Cardineau, managing partner of Sip. “I definitely feel that is the vibe we brought, so when we were looking to expand, Arcadia was our obvious next choice. Plus, there’s a great market and the neighborhood is very up-and-coming. It’s great to be a part of that.” Owners Tida and Travis Radevski and Cardineau shared the inspiration to open a coffee and bar space long before they knew each other. Once Cardineau and Radevski met, they realized they had similar visions for a concept. “We both grew up with these community spaces where you could grab a coffee in the morning and come back later and grab a beer,” Cardineau said. “To us, this is a concept that works for everyone and something that was severely under tapped in the Valley.” When looking for a space to expand to, they wanted to find a location that had similar character to the Old Town location. “Our realtor called and said she found a Sip Coffee opens near Arcadia Sip’s new location opened in late November.
