Around 20 local restaurants and resorts come together to showcase specialties from their menus. These places include Different Pointe of View, T. Cooks, Prado and the Phoenician. This is a 21 and over event, and tickets are $75 at the door, which includes all food and beverages. There will also be live entertainment and a silent auction. The Ritz-Carlton of Phoenix is hosting Easter Brunch on Easter, Sunday, Apr. 5, as well as an afternoon tea event on Apr. 3 and 4. Children will enjoy hot cocoa and story time with Peter Cottontail while adults can enjoy spring tea as well as an array of finger sandwiches, scones and French pastries. Seating for the Cottontail Tea is available at noon and 3 p.m., and costs $43 per person. Easter Brunch provides an extensive menu, including an omelet and waffle station. SATURDAY APRIL 4 Wingstock 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Mesa Amphitheatre, 263 N. Center St., Mesa. Wingstock is exactly what it sounds like: a chicken wing festival, fun for all ages. Valley restaurants come together to compete for the coveted Wingstock takes over Mesa on April 4. xxxxx “Wingstock King of Wings” title. There is a kid’s zone and if you come early (10:30 a.m.) there will be an Easter egg hunt. Live entertainment, food, beer and a chicken wing eating contest are just a few of the things Wingstock has to offer. Tickets are $8 the day of the event, $5 in advance. The YWCA Young Women’s Forum presents an evening with Annie Groth from Mass Mutual. The presentation will highlight strategies and tools to become fiscally sound for the future. SATURDAY APRIL 11 Dine with Your Dog 5 p.m. at PERA Club, 1 E. Continental Dr., Tempe. The Phoenix Children’s Hospital is throwing this fur-filled fundraiser benefiting the PetSmart Paws Can Heal program. Join them for a fun evening, including pet portraits, a Paws Can Heal showcase, an auction and plenty of other activities. A gourmet dinner will be served – one for you and one for your four-legged friend. Tickets are $100 per person or $175 per couple and are available online at dinewithyourdog.org. Part of the Scottsdale Culinary Festival, the Great Arizona Picnic features 25 acres of gardens and fountains for guests to enjoy while sampling tasty foods from over 40 Valley restaurants. There is also live music, a family zone, cooking demonstrations and more. Tickets are $10 at the door. This is not the only event for the Scottsdale Culinary Festival, which runs Apr. 7-12. FRIDAY APRIL 17 I Have a Voice Gala 6:30-10:30 p.m. at Windgate Ranch, 10095 E. Windgate Ranch Road, Scottsdale. Gigi’s Playhouse, an educational center for individuals with Down syndrome, will host its annual gala to raise awareness for its outreach programs and to celebrate the opening of their newest center in Phoenix.
