There’s something for every taste this month and highlighted below are excellent options for quenching your sonic thirsts. Monthly, this column suggests tracks from touring acts that are coming to town. My hope is that you’ll get a chance to listen to some new sounds or simply revitalize your past interests. If you like American roots music, The Avett Brothers’ show in Mesa is worth the drive. If indie garage rock is your bag, The Growlers’ gig at Crescent is the call. If you’re a classic rock buff, the Bob Seger show at Gila River Arena with the Silver Bullet Band will not disappoint. BOB SEGER CALIFORNIA STARS (2014) He’s a classic Detroit rocker who’s had his share of massive hits and after listening to his impressive new release you’ll get the sense he’s entering a career resurgence with that iconic voice and a choice selection of cover tunes.
