Page 4 September 2014 Where has the time gone? By Amanda Goossen School has started. Summer vacations are now in the memory book. Where has 2014 gone? As I prepared the bags of back-to-school supplies, stacking paper towels and boxes of 24-count crayons, I actually felt tears slowly gathering in my eyes. This moment marked the end of summer and sand between our toes. September, to me, means change. It’s a new season and a time for renewal. back to school and new opportunities has always made me giddy. Sharp pencils and brand-new shoes inspire me! Plus, my birthday is in September and this girl loves birthdays! All birthdays, not just my own. I love cake and presents and letting people know how much they’re loved. My husband and I celebrate our anniversary this month as well. Gosh, September is a great time of year. This month Arcadia News says good- bye to summer by paying homage to you and your summer vacation photos. We received an impressive amount of smiling faces this year. Our neighbors did everything from deep sea diving to volunteering in an orphanage in Tanzania. Thank you for sending in your images! Our schools and our students make news again as Ingleside Middle School improves their AIMS score after their St. Thomas the Apostle welcomes a new priest to the school and parish.
