Bringing 764 runners and walkers to the neighborhood, The Fun Run was exactly what Taylor’s parents had in mind when they created the event in memory of their baby girl. In April of 2010, at only 5 months old, Mark and Katie lost Taylor Paige to SIDS. Turning their heartache into a commitment, the couple has worked tirelessly to raise money for SIDS research. The Arcadia Family Fun Run, in only its second year, raised $91,661. The funds will be donated to Dr. Hannah Kinney at Boston’s Children’s Hospital who will use 100% of the money raised in her research. “We can’t think of a better way to honor our daughter, Taylor, and all the other families and babies than to see the smiling faces of people crossing that finish line,” said Mark Cosmas. “The community support has been nothing short of amazing.
