The abundance of cool touring acts that keep us on their radar is nothing short of fl attering. Couple that with an honest batch of homebrewed local bands, world class venues, a variety of thriving scenes and you realize that in Phoenix, we’ve got it good. April is sporting several sold-out gigs, but there’s still plenty to catch. Check out or reacquaint yourselves with the tracks on this month’s list, then get out to see something good. DICK DALE Let’s Go Trippin’ Surf Rock pioneer and guitar legend Dick Dale s w i n g s t h r o u g h our city yet again and at 75 years old he’s n o t h i n g short of an inspiration. Dick Dale performs April 4 at Rhythm Room, 1019 E. Indian School Road. Tickets are $30, and the show is for people 21 and older. KOPECKY FAMILY BAND Heartbeat Fresh off the road in support of The Lumineers and Gogol Bordello, they should be primed for their visit back to the Valley. KFB performs April 6 at Pub Rock, 8005 E. Roosevelt St. in Scottsdale. Tickets are $12 and the show is for all ages. DINOSAUR JR. See It On Your Side Veterans of the ‘90s music explosion, they took a few years off and have come back better than ever. Their latest release “I Bet On Sky” is prime Dinosaur Jr. and jacked with great songs. Come see them at the Crescent to have your ears scorched, your soul soothed. Dinosaur Jr. performs April 19 at Crescent Ballroom, 308 N. 2nd Ave. Tickets are $27, and the show is for people 21 and older.
