Brief as it may be, though, February packs a hefty punch – Super Bowl, Presidents Day and most notably Valentine’s Day. The day of lovers can be a pressure- fi lled adventure, but ultimately should be a celebration of sharing a night with the one you love. Expectations are high on Valentine’s Day and while a thoughtful gift and cool dinner reservations are to be expected it’s also a prime time for you to take your special someone out on the town for an additional evening of music. We are now one month into the New Year and I’m already counting the resolutions I’ve broken. The morning workouts have become less regular, sugar and coffee are once again a large part of my day and the hundreds of books piled in my of fi ce are not being read fast enough. I promised myself I would read a book a week in 2013 and I’m trying not to count how far off my goal I really am. We are in the midst of a fabulous time in publishing. Books are great, authors are talented and the stories are varied. I hope you’re working hard on your New Year’s resolutions this month and that maybe, just maybe, reading is a part of that plan.
