Page 56 October 2012 By Laura Sposato The works of local artist and designer Jules Gissler will fi ll the walls of the Black Cat Coffee House in Arcadia Town Center on the northwest corner of Indian School Road and 48th Street this month. “My wife does not like the walls of our establishment to be bare,” said Black Cat Coffee House owner Don Hall said. “We constantly have artwork up on display, and we both like what we’ve seen of Gissler’s work.” Gissler described her artwork as bright, whimsical and vibrant. “I love creating funky fl owers and adding curly cues to things,” Gissler said. “I often give my dog paintings curly cue eyebrows, and I never paint their eyes Local artist fi nds homes for her work Thank a Teacher... Ottomans, pillows, dog beds, cat beds, books and jewelry have all been touched by Gissler’s artistic hands. Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center is a permanent home for two of her paintings. “I love what I do, and I’m very passionate about it,” Gissler said.
