Page 6 July 2012 Men in Black big hit with third movie Men In Black 3 Director: Barry Sonnenfeld Starring: Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones and Josh Brolin Witty and entertaining, Men in Black 3 is a great way to spend some free time. This third installment in the Men in Black fi lm series brings back Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as Agents J and K for a new adventure, in which an alien called Boris the Animal escapes prison and goes back in time to kill the man who imprisoned him — Agent K. Agent J has to go back in time using a similar machine to save a younger Agent K (Brolin) without messing things up himself. Also on the to- do list is trying to better understand his partner. Some people might say, “Tommy Lee Jones isn’t getting any younger.” Well he just did, though granted he did so through Josh Brolin. Whoever fi xed up Brolin for the movie deserves a raise, as he looks convincing as young Agent K. Even better, his acting lives up to his appearance. He and Smith have chemistry on screen just how it would be expected to look like, given the circumstances, and his presence nearly makes up for the disappointing lack of Jones. Another actor who deserves praise is Jemaine Clement, who plays Boris the Animal, though it could be anyone considering all the make-up and costuming. Despite Boris being the typical bad guy bent on revenge, it does require some skill to actually make him creepy, and Clement has that covered. Perhaps the best character, however, is portrayed by Michael Stuhlbarg. He plays a character named Grif fi n, who is strange and rather dif fi cult to describe without ruining the surprise of his appearance. No spoilers here, so all that will be said of him is that he’s a joy to watch and just adds to the quirky enjoyment of seeing the movie. The writers also need some love. The dialogue and story work to create two Continued on page 18 “As a practicing Oral, Maxillofacial Surgeon for over 38 years, my of ĺ ce is now dedicated full time to providing care and treatment to people suffering from Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Snoring.
