Brendan Satran is working through his last days as a Senior at Arcadia High School but he’s leaving be- hind some athletic achievements that may linger for a while in the record books. In a game with Moon Valley in late April, Brendan stole a base for the 76th time in his career, breaking the state record in the 4AII division. He also set a school record last year, with 38 stolen bases out of 39 at- tempts, nearly doubling the previ- ous AHS record. The center fi elder has a .430 batting average so far this season and has scored 33 runs. Brendan has been awarded and recognized numer- ous times over the last two years and he’s looking forward to playing baseball in college and eventually attending law school, although he’s not sure where yet. Brendan has also had an impact on the non-sports side of the com- munity as an active volunteer at the Lucky Dog No-Kill Shelter, St. Theresa Catholic Church and other non-pro fi t organizations.
