Vincent was formerly a manager at La Grande Orange, and she said the valet service evolved there with the growing success of the grocery and its multiple restaurant concepts. Tracy Frazier is general manager of Arcadia Tavern, opened in 2009. Valet parking service was part of the business plan from the beginning, he said. The service costs the business about $3,000 per month, but customers enjoy it and there’s no charge, just a tip for the valets, if a customer is so inclined, he said. Hoskin has delivered valet service at all the Arcadia-area restaurants. “Customers are happy to see us, and the tips are good,” he said. Parent volunteer co-chairs, Heather Novak and Molly Pont-Brown agreed the drive was a huge success. “It was a great team effort and the Hopi community really stepped up to show our support and appreciation for our military,” Novak said. In order to send the donations, students also held a Coins for Care Packages Drive. The students raised more than $1,000 to help cover shipping costs. The collected goods were to be organized and sent to the troops via Packages from Home. Hopi Elementary students also included 400 hand-written letters to soldiers in the care packages.
