Butter and Me, a one woman-show of baking passion, has the most original gingerbread cookie I’ve seen. The Chocolate Molasses Ginger cookie is about the size of a silver dollar. Its lusciousness was unmatched in my gingerbread hunt, and the divine dark chocolate you taste as you sink your teeth inside, makes this a standout. The cookie has a bitterness that makes it an ideal match for a cup of coffee or glass of red wine. Whether it’s Superstition Farm’s milk or the inventiveness within the recipes, either way the ice cream coming from Udder Delights is the best I’ve ever tried. The Gingerbread Ice Cream is subtle and sweet. It steers away from an abundance of molasses and ginger, instead hitting these fl avors in a gentle way. Page 41 December 2011 Pueblo Grande Museum Tour The Park of Four Water Tour at Pueblo Grande Museum will be 10-11 a.m. December 30. The Hohokam lived in the Salt River Valley from about 450 to 1450 AD. They were an agricultural society, growing corn, beans, squash and cotton. They constructed miles of canals to direct water from the Salt River to their fi elds. The Park of Four Waters tour will take you through undeveloped, natural desert to the ruins of some of these canal systems. Cost is included with Museum admission.
