The team had a total of 10 wins, tying them for second place. They fi nished third via a tie-breaker. Theodore Gossett earned a perfect score, winning all four of his games to earn second place. ANLC earns 3rd place in tournament Hopi girls included in Dback show The Arcadia High School swim and dive team has taken home the state championship four times in the past fi ve years. “We’re support for one another, the team and I,” Erica said. Family and friends have high hopes for the upcoming competition in Kona, Hawaii. “The Ironman Hawaii is the big man on campus,” Chris said. “I think it will be her best time yet. “I think she’s going to do great. She’s built for it.” Erica said, “I love to workout, but I also love food. I race, but I also love to spectate. Cheering people on is one of my favorite things to do. “I don’t limit myself. You can’t live your life so serious all the time. You have to enjoy it along the way.” Five girls from Hopi Elementary School participated in the Arizona Diamondbacks’ 10th Reunion Weekend. The girls participated in pre-game ceremonies. All were newborns or not born yet when the Dbacks beat the New York Yankees for the 2001 World Series championship. Four fi fth-graders (Tatum Pylman, Ellie Richardson, Payton Rutowski and Noelle Tessmer) and a kindergartner (Brooke Tessmer) participated.
