Over Easy seemed to start it off when it took over the space formerly occupied by Sacks. Then, iRun opened on the center’s west side in April. Indian School ONE DOZEN ONE DOZEN HOT WINGS HOT WINGS $5 $5 SUNDAY CHICKEN 2-4 chicken legs, 2-4 thighs and 1-2 breasts with skin on 4-8 carrots 1 stalk of celery, 6-8 pieces cut in half making 12-16 1 white onion cut in quarters 12-15 mushrooms 1 russet potato cut into squares with skin on 5 sprigs rosemary 1 shallot sliced 4-6 cloves of garlic left whole Olive oil 2 cups white table wine 2 cups chicken broth Place the chicken at the bottom of a 9x13 roasting pan so none is overlapping. Drizzle olive oil over the chicken to lightly coat, add salt and pepper. Scatter the peeled carrots, celery pieces, onion, shallots, garlic, mushrooms and potato over the top of the chicken. Drizzle 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil on top of the veggies. Remove the rosemary from 2-4 sprigs and sprinkle on top off all, add more salt/ pepper. Pour enough chicken broth and wine to go half way up the side of the roaster, cover with tinfoil. Place in a preheated 300 degree oven for 5-7 hours. (It’s hard to overcook!) When ready to eat, remove the veggies and place in a serving bowl. Pour out most of the broth, unless you want to use it for gravy. Place the chicken back in the oven under the broiler for 3-5 minutes, to crisp up the skin.

We are doing it as one of our centennial projects because it’s an opportunity for people to think about what it was like to live at that time and what in their current lives is re fl ective of back then.” The exhibit is on loan as a traveling exhibit from the Arizona State Department of Libraries, Hernandez said. An integral part of the exhibit is a community panel where the public can bring their own photos and keepsakes to share their family story. “People can share their own experience and their family experience and history with the rest of the citizens who come to visit the exhibit and be part of the exhibit,” Hernandez said. The exhibit will be displayed on the second fl oor of the Burton Barr Central Library and is part of the celebration of Arizona turning 100 years old in February. The library is at 1221 N.
