Another art show is planned for August 26-28. Mike said he likes having genuine art, and not just posters, peppered throughout the store. “Art gives the furniture more possibilities, and it’s good for foot traf fi c,” he said. Their mother collected handmade quilts for 50 years, and her sons are planning on having a show of some 150 quilts in the future. Ten to 15 can be seen at the store gracing beds and walls now. Most are Amish, and 90 percent hand stitched. “She couldn’t sew a button on a shirt, but she appreciated those who could,” Larry said.
