However, she said she enjoys teaching all subjects because it is exciting and rewarding to see students learn and grow during the school year. Mrs. Huth also taught kindergarten, third, fourth, and fi fth grade when she lived in New York and in New Jersey. She has done many interesting projects with her classes through the years. She had kids write poems, make books, and do yearlong Arizona projects. She helped produce plays like “Willy Wonka” and “School’s Out.” Teachers need to be fl exible and Mrs. Huth has been, switching rooms often during the years. That means she had to move all of her teaching supplies from one room to another. Have you ever seen how much stuff a teacher has? Mrs. Huth said she still keeps in touch with a few families, and through the years also had many siblings of past students. She said one student came back to visit her after graduating college. So, what is Mrs. Huth planning to do after school gets out this month? She said she has a very relaxing retirement planned, including going on an Alaskan cruise and going to Michigan to visit her grandchildren. She said she really would enjoy visiting such National Parks as Yellowstone. Mrs. Huth is one of the best teachers ever, and will be missed. Max McCauley is a fi fth-grader at Hopi Elementary School.
