The Arcadia Bulldogs baseball team won the USSSA Strike-Out for Hungry 11u championship in just their second tournament. Arcadia is set up in the newly aligned Division 3, awaiting the announcement of next year’s competition. January. The perfect time to make outlandish speculations and half-baked predictions about what we can expect from the Titans next season. The team will lose several key players when Arcadia seniors walk at graduation in May, but there is a dynamic pack of youngsters waiting in the wings for their chance to shine. With the loss of captain running back Bradley Tefft and versatile tight end Jared Thorn, the Titan offense needs a few of these players to succeed. Tefft brought an unheard of passion for the game to the fi eld and a willingness to put his body on the line. Thorn operated as a receiver and blocker for Arcadia and excelled in both areas, leading the Titans with 341 yards receiving. The defense still retains most of its starters from last season, but will need a few of its younger players to fi ll the void left by defensive stars Landen Berry (linebacker) and Kyle York (cornerback). The special teams unit could also use an in fl ux of new talent after the graduation of both kickers, punter Ross Richardson and kicker Colton Sanchez. Outside of these losses, Arcadia will return the majority of its starters on both offense and defense.
